After running the CENTOS systems for almost 10 years, it’s now time to upgrade! I have chosen to upgrade my Linux system with Alma Linux 10 and will be putting up several tricks and tips that I have learned along the way. Some of the systems that I’ll be replacing are:
LAMP Web Server – This will be for testing/development and will also house a copy of my production databases.
Apache Web Server – This will run my production websites.
MariaDB Server – This will contain the databases for production websites (hosted on the Apache Web Server) as well as other databases for Windows IIS systems.
Bacula 15.0.3 – This will replace my current Bacula backup system that has been running flawlessly for the past 10 years. I’ll be using the same server but upgrading the drive array to 8-8TB drives, so double the capacity. I also plan on installing Bacularis to allow one web portal to monitor backups, run backups and run restores if needed.
I’ll document the process along the way and try to share everything with you guys as I go.
